Slept in a chair on the ferry last night. Not a good sleep so was tired most of the day. It was daylight when we arrived and by the time we got off the ferry and got our stuff arranged I hit the road just before 7am. Nice warm day with a heavy fog / mist most of the morning and then sunny in the afternoon. Lots of small hills and good roads. Not very populated nor much traffic so it was a great day for cycling across Canada.

Bicycles were the last to get off the ferry.

A look back at the ferry

The cyclist I met in the lineup. Works at a bike shop in Ottawa and drove down by car to do the Newfoundland portion by bicycle. He was in a hurry to meet someone in Gros Morrne so he went on ahead.

The sun was trying to break through but was having a tough time.

My last province

A look back at Port aux Basques. Looks a lot like the area around Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia

Still a ways to go

Some of the scenery reminds me of the Cape Breton Highlands
